Bama in the NFL: Week 11 Outlook
Week 11 is upon us and with it are some mega matchups that will affect the playoff picture for divisional and conference races. Let's break down the matchups and the Bama players that will have big impacts.
Chiefs vs. Bills (Sun. 3:25 ct):
Amari Cooper (Bills) - Missing the last two games with injury, Cooper looks to return in a big way against a conference rival. The Head coach for the Bills has ruled out Coleman with a wrist injury, but says that while Cooper is limited this week he is improving and expected to play, barring a major setback. If he sees the field expect a big splash against a Chiefs team that has been in more close games than in seasons past.
Ravens vs. Steelers (Sun. Noon ct):
Derrick Henry (Ravens) - The King has supplanted himself in the MVP talks as he has been carrying the Ravens offense with his ground game. Yes Lamar Jackson is also balling, but due to Henry's presence, it has opened up a lot down field for Jackson. Expect against the Steelers defense a big lean on Henry so that the offense can open up.
Najee Harris (Steelers) - The Ravens defense is not as good as it usually is, and they can be got on the ground too. With the way Wilson is playing at qb, and Tomlin's old school hard nose approach to games, expect Harris to have a large role in this game, especially if his efficiency is as good as it was against the Jets.
Commanders vs. Eagles (Thu. 7:25 ct):
Jalen Hurts (Eagles) - The post bye stretch for the Eagles has been hugely impressive, but now they face a quality opponent in the Commanders. The defense for the Commanders is very suspect and can be taken advantage of, especially through the air, but with the addition of Lattimore for them, it could be a bigger struggle. Expect Hurts to ball as he has been, and if he can limit the turnovers it should be a good day for him.
DeVonta Smith (Eagles) - With Brown most likely getting the shadow from Lattimore, it should open up plenty of space for Smitty underneath. Being Hurts' favorite mid range and check down player, he should see plenty of balls go his way.
Brian Robinson jr. (Commanders) - Missing the last two contests with injury, Robinson's status has improved to where he should see playing time. This offense may be one of the best in the league and with it comes Robinson's goal line carries. If he plays, depending how he feels, he should see a split of reps until he's fully 100%.
That does it for this week's top Bama players in big matchups. Check back Tuesday to see how they did! Roll Tide!!
