Brandon Miller Expected to Start Against Maryland
The No. 1 seed Alabama Crimson Tide had a dominant win over the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders in the first round last Thursday with a score of 96-75.
The Tide's biggest star, Brandon Miller, did not contribute any points that day, however, because he left the game with a groin injury. Yesterday, Miller did not participate in any live practice drills because of his injury and was just taking it slow with his groin.
"Trying not to do much and injure it some more," said Miller. "I think you know when you're doing too much, when something is really just aggravating you. When it gets real bothered, I try not to force anything and make it worse."
Miller is not expected to be in any type of time restriction and should be able to play today against Maryland. He may not be 100% healthy, but he will do the best he can to get the Tide to the Sweet 16.
Alabama will play Maryland tonight at 8:40 p.m. at Legacy Arena in Birmingham. Coverage will be on Tide 100.9 FM and the Tide 100.9 app which is free to download in the App Store.
