Hours prior to Alabama tipping off its 2022-23 season, the NCAA announced the 50 players listed on the Naismith Trophy Watch List. Amongst stars such as Kentucky's Oscar Tshiebwe, Michigan's Hunter Dickinson, UCLA's Jaime Jaquez Jr, and Houston's Marcus Sasser is Alabama standout Freshman Brandon Miller.

The five-star recruit from Antioch, TN, is coming into the season after a preseason that was filled with immense levels of hype from the media, fans, and his coaches. Miller's rare mix of versatility, defense, shot creation, ball-handling, and athleticism is something that the Tide will need in order to keep up the blue bloods of college basketball.

Miller headlined a class that featured fellow five-star Jaden Bradley, four-stars Noah Clowney and Rylan Griffen, and top JUCO transfer Nick Pringle. The class was also ranked as the No. 3 class of 2022 recruiting class in the nation according to 247Sports. Nate Oats and crew also hauled in two transfers, guards Mark Sears and Dom Welch.

Alabama will look to bounce back after an underwhelming 2021-22 season, with Miller as the potential leader and piece they need in order to make a Final Four run.

Watch Brandon Miller make his college basketball debut tonight on SEC Network+/ESPN+ at 7:30 p.m. CT against the Longwood Lancers.
