Brian Robinson did not play against Southern Mississippi in Week 3 due to a rib injury. Nick Saban provided an update to the senior running back's status in Week 4 against the Ole Miss Rebels during his Monday press conference.

"B-Rob's gonna practice today," Saban said. "Hopefully - we'll go day-to-day with and see how he develops. We're hopeful that he'll be 100% by game time."

Despite missing last week's game, Robinson still leads the team in rushing yards (208) and carries (37). The Crimson Tide relied on the sophomore tandem of Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams in his stead. McClellan rushed 12 times for 97 yards and added a nine-yard touchdown reception while Roydell Williams rushed for 110 yards on 11 carries, bolstered by a 55-yard gain to close the first quarter.

"We made some really explosive runs inside and out," Saban said. "Sometimes we had some plays where [Southern Mississippi] gave us issues. We just need to continue to block in movement and that'll be helpful to us."

Last season, Robinson helped the Crimson Tide out in Oxford with 76 rushing yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.
