Brian Robinson Discusses Alabama Impact at NFL Combine
Hillcrest High School almunus Brian Robinson put his mark on the Alabama football program last season, picking up: 271 rushing attempts for 1,343 yards, and 14 touchdowns, plus 35 receptions for 296 yards and two touchdowns- all career highs.
Now, the early day 3 2022 NFL Draft prospect is discussing how going through the UA program has impacted him as a person, player, and more during the NFL combine.
Robinson discussed his allegiance to the Crimson Tide, after waiting five years for his breakout season.
"Once I committed and signed, my loyalty to Alabama stuck. I just trusted in the process, as they say, I trusted and believed in the coaches, and that the plan they had for me would work... Just kept working and went out on faith," said Robinson.
The 6'1, 225 lb running back also discussed Alabama head coach Nick Saban's influence on the players in the program.
"Attention to detail, always being by the book. Being held accountable for everything, responsibility," said Robinson. "Always making sure we stay consistent with everything. The biggest thing with coach Saban is just helping us learn how to be a professional on earth."
The fifth-year senior talked about his former teammates, and players who went to Alabama before him.
"I watch all the guys that came through Alabama, they're my brothers now because we kinda went through the same process. We have respect for each other, based on our experiences at Alabama, so it's good to watch those guys so I know what to expect when I'm stepping into that position," said Robinson.
Robinson talked about his mindset during a game.
"I'm not just thinking about my responsibility on the play, I'm just thinking about how I can protect the quarterback and keep the quarterback off the ground because in football, things happen, and I always want to be available to help," said Robinson.
The Tuscaloosa, Ala., native is set to take the field tomorrow.
