One of those losses was a close contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov.24, where Young connected on a touchdown pass with under two minutes remaining, putting the Chiefs on alert with a game-tying score. Ultimately, the Panthers fell short, losing 30-27.

A similar situation unfolded against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Dec. 1. With about 30 seconds left in regulation and the Panthers trailing, Young delivered a touchdown pass to Adam Thielen, forcing the game into overtime. This marked the second overtime game of the season for the Panthers with Young as the starter. Although they lost 26-23, Young set a season and career high with 298 passing yards.

Since returning, Young has amassed 1,082 yards (1,381 total yards on the season). According to The33rdTeam, he has led his team to score 20 or more points in four consecutive games, boasts the highest passer rating on throws of 25 yards or more over the past month, and has thrown more touchdowns than notable quarterbacks such as Jordan Love, Kyler Murray, Geno Smith, Derek Carr, C.J. Stroud, Caleb Williams, and Brock Purdy.

Looking ahead, the remainder of the Panthers schedule is challenging. Their next five opponents include the Philadelphia Eagles on Dec.8, who are riding an eight-game winning streak, the Dallas Cowboys on Dec.15, the Arizona Cardinals on Dec.22, the Buccaneers on Dec. 29, and the Atlanta Falcons on Jan.5, the last two matchups being teams they previously lost to this season.

As their season progresses, many fans and analysts are optimistic about the future of the Panthers with Young leading the charge.
