Alabama defensive back Cam Calhoun has entered the transfer portal, according to a report by On3 Sports' Pete Nakos. Calhoun, a 6-foot, 180-pound defensive back from Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, previously played for Michigan and Utah before spending one season with the Crimson Tide.

During his 2023 season at Michigan, he appeared in two games before redshirting at the season's end. After that, he transferred to Utah for the 2024 season, where he played in 11 games with one start, recording 21 tackles, one TFL, one interception, and nine pass breakups for the Utes. He then transferred to Alabama for the 2025 season, where he made appearances in 13 games for the Tide.

Calhoun's season with the Crimson Tide likely didn't go the way he wanted it to, with just six tackles, one pass breakup, and a fumble recovery, with most of his reps coming on special teams with the Crimson Tide.

Calhoun is the second defensive back to depart Alabama, and the first to do so after the Tide's 38-3 loss to the Indiana Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl. He joins former Charlotte transfer Kam Howard as a defensive back transferring from Alabama.

Calhoun is the 15th overall transfer to leave the Crimson Tide during this transfer portal cycle.
