Penn State (10) at Michigan (5) - Michigan Stays Hot After Shaky First Half

After a few consecutive underwhelming performances from the Wolverines, Michigan faced its toughest matchup of the season Saturday against Penn State. The two teams were locked in a stalemate in the first half, with Michigan holding just a two-point lead heading into halftime. After allowing a field goal early in the third quarter, the Michigan offense found its groove and exploded on the ground for the second half. Two touchdown runs from the talented Michigan backfield of Donovan Edwards and Blake Corum blew the game open for the Wolverines and gave them the victory over a highly ranked Big 10 rival.

Final: Penn State 17, Michigan 41

Auburn at Ole Miss (9) - Ground and Pound Offense Prevails for the Rebels

If you like shootouts where both teams duel through the air, this wasn’t the game for you. Running the ball was the name of the game for both the Rebels and the Tigers, with both teams combining for 749 yards on the ground. Three Ole Miss players, including quarterback Jaxson Dart, rushed for over 100 yards on the day, and Tank Bigsby for the Tigers rushed for 179 yards. The Rebels came away with the victory at home, and remain undefeated on the season.

Final: Auburn 34, Ole Miss 48

USC (7) at Utah (20) - Utes Win an Emotional Conference Battle

The Utah Utes, wearing custom helmets honoring two teammates Aaron Lowe and Ty Jordan that recently passed away, took down USC and Lincoln Riley in a battle that went right down to the wire. Utah quarterback Cameron Rising threw for 415 yards in the air and totaled five touchdowns in the game, two in the air and three on the ground, and converted a risky two-point conversion to lift the Utes over the Trojans. This is USC’s first loss of the season and creates a crowded playoff scenario for the top teams in the Pac-12.

Final: USC 42, Utah 43

Clemson (4) at Florida State - Clemson Stays Perfect in Close Rivalry Game

Clemson battled rival Florida State on Saturday, in an effort to keep both its top spot in the ACC and its College Football Playoff dreams alive. Led by quarterback DJ Uiagalelei and running back Will Shipley, the Tigers offense proved too much for the Seminoles as the Tigers knocked off their rivals in Tallahassee. Although Clemson almost surrendered a 20-point lead in the second half, the Tigers held on and improve to 7-0 on the year.

Final: Clemson 34, Florida State 28
