The Miami Dolphins are in the process of renovating Sunlife Stadium, tearing out many seats and replacing them with miniature entertainment centers.

Darren Rovell of ESPN reported that the $400 million plan will give fans a chance to have some of the luxuries that they enjoy while watching a game at home, all while soaking in the game day experience. There will be 32 "stations," comprising of recliners, state of the art televisions, food and drinks, and access to a lounge area.

Seats will be sold in groups of four, and each package will cost roughly $75,000.

Customers will be given the option of choosing a certain size television for their viewing pleasure: an 18-inch screen in front of each chair, 32-inch screen in front of each chair, or a 32-inch screen in front of two chairs. However, the last two options will cost you $30,000 and $15,000 more, respectively.

Obviously, Sunlife Stadium will also host one of the semifinal games on New Year's Eve in next season's College Football Playoff, along with being home to the University of Miami football team.

There has been recent discussion over the decreasing attendance to football games in person over the past few years. Is this a good way of increasing attendance, or will it take away too much of the "true" game day experience?

Last year, the Jacksonville Jaguars finished renovations to their stadium, removing some seats and replacing them with pools and cabanas.

As the cost of attending sporting events in person continues to rise, could this trickle down into the collegiate level?
