Former Boston College offensive coordinator John McNulty is expected to join the Alabama staff as an analyst, according to senior national college football reporter for On3Sports Matt Zenitz.

The Penn., native has gone back-and-forth between the NFL and college football. He has worked on the offensive side of the ball his entire coaching career, most recently holding the positions of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Rutgers (2018-19), an offensive analyst at Penn State (2019), and worked with current Alabama offensive coordinator Tommy Rees at Notre Dame from 2020-21 as the tight ends coach.

He spent one season as the Eagles offensive coordinator.

The NFL teams he has coached for include the Jacksonville Jaguars (1998-2002), Dallas Cowboys (2003), Arizona Cardinals (2009-12), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2013), Tennessee Titans (2014-15), and San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers (2016-17).

Other college programs he has worked for include Michigan (1991-94), Connecticut (1995-97), and an earlier stint at Rutgers (2004-08).

This will be his first coaching job in the SEC.
