The Alabama Crimson Tide football team put a crimson and white bow on spring practice with their annual A-Day game Saturday.

In a low scoring contest, the White team defeated the Crimson team 7-3.

Former Ole Miss, Florida State and Troy assistant coach Max Howell stepped Inside the Locker Room to evaluate Alabama’s A-Day game.

Howell reminded fans on how to evaluate a spring game

“It’s not about a team effort in the spring game, it’s about individual effort.” Howell said.

One candidate for quarterback drew the attention of the former SEC assistant.

“The Jalen Hurts kid, if Coach Saban will let (offensive coordinator) Lane Kiffin put the read option in, guys, you've got a winner in that kid.” Howell said.
