Alabama Athletic Director Greg Byrne joined Ryan Fowler to discuss the Tide's revenue sharing model, and while he did not reveal the exact numbers for Alabama, he eased the minds of the Crimson Tide faithful that football "pulls the train."

Ryan Fowler, host of "The Game," asked Byrne on Wednesday if Alabama had decided on how the Crimson Tide would distribute the $20.5 million in revenue sharing.

"We have made a decision," Byrne told Fowler, "we looked at a lot of different models, and at this point, we are not sharing that publicly."

Other programs across the country have shared their models, giving a general idea of how Alabama might split up the revenue sharing.

In February, Georgia Athletic Director Josh Brooks indicated that 75% of the budget will go to football, roughly $13.5 million to the two-time national champions under Kirby Smart. Men's basketball will get 15%, roughly $2.7 million. Five percent will go to women's basketball, and five percent to all other sports.

It gives us a general idea of where Alabama might sit on the revenue-generating model, but Byrne declined to share the exact numbers.

"[Football] is absolutely the engine that pulls the train, and that will be reflected in how we handle the rev sharing going forward, and that's important. The next sport, after that, from a revenue standpoint, and helping pay the bills for all of our other 19 sports, has been basketball. So it's finding that right balance, it will continue to evolve in what we do, and we've spent a lot of time developing different options, and it was something we didn't do in a vacuum. We worked with Dr. Bell, worked with our trustees, and worked with our coaches, too, and trying to make sure we put our best foot forward to have a competitive athletic department."
