In-Game Update: Tyler Van Dyke Injured
Alabama is in the midst of the first quarter against the Wisconsin Badgers. The Crimson Tide stopped Wisconsin quarterback Tyler Van Dyke short of the first down with 11 minutes left in the first quarter, but cornerback Domani Jackson was called for a hold, giving Wisconsin a free first down.
More importantly though, Wisconsin quarterback Tyler Van Dyke was injured on the play. Linebacker Keanu Koht made the tackle for Alabama, but Van Dyke appeared to be injured before the tackle due to a noncontact injury.
He left the field on the injury cart according to the television broadcast.
Van Dyke was 2-for-2 with 11 yards through the air and nine yards on the ground prior to leaving the game with an injury.
"He was in a lot of pain" according to the sideline reporter for Fox.
Tyler Van Dyke returned to the field in street clothes, on crutches, with a large brace on his right leg.
