In the first episode of his own podcast, "It Needed To Be Said with Tyreek Hill," the new Dolphins wide receiver continued his public support for third-year Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

In the short clip posted to Twitter by NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, Hill says, "as far as accuracy-wise, I'm going Tua all day," when making comparisons between his former teammate Patrick Mahomes and Tagovailoa.

In a follow-up from his co-host, the former Kansas City deep threat doubled down saying he liked to be "hit in the bread basket" instead of having to chase down a loose ball.

By the numbers, Tagovailoa (66.2%) leads Mahomes (66.1%) in career completion percentage; however, the sample size in their attempts and completions may skew the data.

In just his second season of play, Mahomes secured the NFL's most valuable player award by setting a Chiefs franchise record for passing yards in a single season (5097). Going 12-4 in 2018, he recorded 50 touchdowns through the air and more passing yardage than Tagovailoa has in all of his 21 NFL starts (4467 yards) across two years.

To be fair to the accuracy argument though, Tua finished the 2021 season completing 67.8% of his passes which is higher than any season Mahomes has put together to date.

The Kansas City franchise quarterback is 50-13 during the regular season and holds an 8-3 record in postseason play. Tagovailoa, who'll see a new coaching staff coming into the Dolphins organization, holds a 13-8 record as the signal caller.
