Jim Page, the CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama joined The Martin Houston Show this morning. Page detailed what sports means economically for the city of Tuscaloosa. He detailed what the loss of the spring season means to the city and he projected what the average football game means financially to the city of Tuscaloosa. Houston asked Page specifically about the unemployment line in the city and what the process was like for filing for unemployment for those who have been furloughed or laid off from their jobs. Page spoke that several of the normal restrictions on unemployment were relaxed and he let listeners know how to go about making sure they get unemployment if they were laid off or furloughed.
