There's nothing better than March Madness. 68 teams enter the tournament with equal opportunity to claim the national championship. The Alabama Crimson Tide enter the tournament as the number one overall seed but the path to the national championship is long and dangerous.

Teams like Virginia, Creighton, West Virginia and Arizona lay in wait for the Crimson Tide in the South regional. Should Bama make it to Houston they'll square off against three of the the nation's best teams.

At Tide100.9 we view the NCAA Tournament as an opportunity to bring all the shows together into one competition. Our all-local sports lineup that runs from 6a.m.-midnight each weekday, thanks to our proud sponsors and more importantly our amazing listeners, is loaded with talent.

We are blessed to have former Alabama head basketball coach Wimp Sanderson co-host with his son Barry Sanderson who spent time coaching at Wake Forrest, South Carolina, Texas A&M and others.

Sanderson took the Crimson Tide to nine SEC Tournament Finals and won five of them. He qualified for the NCAA Tournament eight times and got to the Sweet 16 five times in his tenure as head coach.
