The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders beat the Alabama Crimson Tide 4-1 on Sunday afternoon to force a Game 7 elimination game.

Left-handed pitcher Lauren Esman started in the circle for the Crimson Tide. She pitched 5.2 innings, recording nine hits, four runs, four earned runs, no walks, and one strikeout.

The Blue Raiders got on the board first. Second baseman Anyce Harvey hit an RBI single to put Middle Tennessee State up 1-0 early.

Middle Tennessee State extended its lead in the third inning after shortstop Laura Mealer hit a two-run home run to put the Blue Raiders up 3-0.

Alabama got on the board in the fourth inning with an RBI sacrifice fly from catcher Ally Shipman to cut the Tide's deficit 3-1.

The Blue Raiders extended their lead in the sixth inning after first baseman Ansley Blevins hit an RBI single to put Middle Tennessee State up 4-1.

Right-handed pitcher Alex Salter came in for relief in the sixth inning. She finished the game, recording no hits, no runs, one walk, and one strikeout.

Middle Tennessee State outhit Alabama nine to five.
