Tuscaloosa, Ala. - The Crimson Tide's coaching staff for 2025 appears complete, but the responsibilities are still being divided among Alabama's coaches.

With the addition of Ryan Grubb, it was announced that Nick Sheridan would remain on staff, but in a different capacity than what he coached in 2024.

Ryan Grubb will be the offensive coordinator at Alabama, but will not coach quarterbacks, a similar role to to what he had in Seattle during 2024.

Grubb will also be the play-caller for Alabama in 2025.

Instead, Nick Sheridan - Alabama's quarterback coach and offensive coordinator in 2024 - will continue coaching quarterbacks for Alabama in 2025.

Many people thought Nick Sheridan would return to coaching tight ends, but he will remain with Ty Simpson and Austin Mack in 2025 while adding five-star Keelon Russell to the room.

Sheridan joined Kalen DeBoer's coaching staff from Washington after DeBoer was hired at Alabama, initially taking over as the tight end's coach. After Grubb left for the Seattle Seahawks, Sheridan was promoted to quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator in 2024.

Additionally, Sheridan remaining with the quarterbacks also brings good news for Alabama's tight end coach in 2024 - Bryan Ellis. Ellis will remain with the tight ends during 2025 for Alabama.

Ellis joined DeBoer's staff following Sheridan's promotion in 2024. Ellis was the offensive coordinator at Georgia Southern in 2023, leading the Eagles to a 6-7 record, averaging 30.1 points per game and 419.5 yards per game.

The coaching staff is beginning to come together for Alabama offensively.

Kalen DeBoer - head coach
Ryan Grubb - offensive coordinator, play-caller
Nick Sheridan - quarterbacks coach
Robert Gillespie - running backs coach
Chris Kapilovic - offensive line coach
Jamarcus Shephard - wide receiver coach
Bryan Ellis - tight ends coach

This method is one familiar to the NFL, with coordinators focusing primarily on game planning and play calling, with a position coach for every position on the field.
