Former Samford and Northside outfielder Kinley Pate has officially joined Team 28.

“I am so thankful for the opportunity to be part of the Crimson Tide family! Being from Tuscaloosa, I have cheered on Alabama Softball for as long as I can remember and now my dream of playing for Alabama has come to life. I am so excited to make the most of this blessing and to give this program my all! Jeremiah 29:11," said Pate in the official press release.

Last season for the Bulldogs, Pate recorded a .227 batting average, 13 runs, 11 walks, ten hits, eight stolen bases, and two runs batted in in 17 games.

"“Kinley is a green-light baserunner, has a really good short game, great bat control and is another fast outfielder. We welcome Kinley and her family to our Alabama softball family. We love that she is a local product of Northside High School," said Alabama softball head coach Patrick Murphy in the official press release.
