Today's game between the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts marked the former Alabama Crimson Tide O.J. Howard's debut with the Texans. He hauled in two catches for 38 yards and two touchdowns. Despite the fact that the game ended in a tie, Howard displayed several positive traits that Texans supporters and fantasy football owners would find exciting.

The former Alabama tight end was released by the Buffalo Bills this offseason and was quickly claimed by the Texans off the waiver wire on Sep. 1. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Howard with the 19th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He played in 59 games and received 1,737 yards with 15 touchdowns in five seasons with Tampa Bay. Howard signed as a free agent with Buffalo but was released during the preseason.

With a strong week one performance against the Colts, Howard could get more targets and have a chance to succeed with Houston as the season progresses, assuming no injuries.
