Particularly Dangerous Situation Tornado Watch In Effect
Portions of Central Alabama Are Under A Particularly Dangerous Situation Tornado Watch
It has been a pretty active severe weather afternoon for our radio coverage area. We want you to know that we are here for you and will keep you updated until all our counties are in the clear from this high impact severe weather threat. Currently, (at the time of this blog post), all of our coverage areas are out of Tornado Warnings. However, we are not going anywhere as we monitor this problematic situation.
The National Weather Service Birmingham has made this statement on Facebook. “Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) Tornado Watch now in effect for portions of Central AL. This is an upgrade to some counties that were already in the previous watch & includes some new counties in the south.”
This Tornado Watch will be in effect now until Midnight for the following counties: Autauga, Baldwin, Bibb, Calhoun, Chilton, Choctaw, Clarke, Clay Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lowndes, Marengo, Mobile, Monroe, Montgomery, Perry, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, Washington, And Wilcox.
We will continue to keep you updated. @MaryKRadio
