Former Heisman winner and college football star Robert Griffin III spoke highly of former Alabama quarter Mac Jones on Twitter.

"Mac Jones is MOST LIKELY to win a ring FIRST of the rookie QBs who played serious time last year. Bill Belichick and the @Patriots are defensive masterminds, out coach other teams and Mac Attack will stretch the field more after last year has his confidence on ROLL TIDE LEVELS," said Griffin III.

Jones was drafted to the New England Patriots as the No. 15 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. By August, he was announced as the starting quarterback over Cam Newton.

During his rookie campaign, Jones went 352-of-521 for 3,801 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. The two-time national champion led the Patriots to a 10-7 record and an appearance in the 2022 NFL Playoffs, losing to the Buffalo Bills during wildcard weekend.

Jones landed on the 2021 Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie Team, was a 2022 Pro-Bowler, competed in the pro-bowl skills challenge, and finished third in the 2021 Rookie of the Year voting.

The former Manning Award winner was drafted into a quarterback-heavy class with some big college names, including: Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, and Justin Fields all in the first round; however, the Crimson Tide alumnus saw the most success in his first season.

After exceeding expectations his rookie year, the bar is set even higher for Jones' sophomore season but has taken "no days off" to heart, getting in better shape physically and working on his game.

Even his teammates have been singing his praises this off-season. Patriots tight end Jonnu Smith spoke recently with Good Morning Football about what makes No. 10 so special.

"The way he can turn it on. He's one one of the goofiest guys around. He has so much ability. So much dog in him. When he flips that switch, he's a different person. That's my guy," said Smith.

Jones and the Patriots take on Tua Tagovailoa's Miami Dolphins on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at noon CST to kick off both teams seasons.
