Alabama's 2204 season was full of highs and lows for the Crimson Tide, with a high-profile win at home against the Georgia Bulldogs, followed by a loss that left Crimson Tide fans still in shock against the Vanderbilt Commodores.

The Tide felt the sting of defeat four times last season, with gut-wrenching losses against the Commodores, the Tennessee Volunteers, the Oklahoma Sooners, and the Michigan Wolverines. Alabama will look to right the ship after winning less than 10 games in a season for the first time since 2007. Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams sat down with former NFL head coach Jon Gruden, discussing the Tide's focus heading into 2025.

Gruden asked Ryan Williams what happened to the Tide in the 40-35 loss to Vanderbilt.

"They just played a better football game than us," Williams said. "We came out slow, and they capitalized. They held the ball. They had their game plan, and they executed it."

Alabama will get Diego Pavia and the Vanderbilt Commodores again this season, this time in Tuscaloosa. Ryan Williams and Alabama aren't looking at it as a "revenge game," however.

"We gonna kill an ant with a sledgehammer this year," Williams told Gruden.

"Every game that we fell short last year, we definitely got red eyes going into them."

Alabama will have three games that the Tide will have "red eyes" going into, with Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Oklahoma coming to Tuscaloosa this season.
