Brown’s Hopes for Oklahoma Game: “I just want us to run our race and go 1-0″
The Alabama Crimson Tide will host the Oklahoma Sooners in Bryant-Denny Stadium this Saturday for their final home Southeastern Conference matchup.

Boasting an impressive 8-1 record and an undefeated run in SEC play, the Crimson Tide have successfully defended their home turf against numerous ranked opponents this season.
However, this Saturday's game against the Sooners carries extra weight. Not only is it Alabama's homecoming, but the Crimson Tide have never defeated Oklahoma in the regular season. Both teams are currently ranked in the top 15, adding to the stakes as they look to maintain momentum heading into the final stretch of November.
On Tuesday, defensive back Zabien Brown spoke with media members, acknowledging the significance of playing such a crucial game during Homecoming weekend. “Yeah, it’s going to be special for sure.”
With so much on the line, the focus remains on execution and achieving a positive outcome. As Brown emphasized, “I just want us to run our race and go 1-0 and come out with a win,” highlighting the Crimson Tide's goal of securing a victory and making this homecoming a memorable one.
The Sooners won't be an easy task. They lead the all-time series 4-2-1, and their head coach, Brent Venables boasts a 5-2 all-time record against Alabama. His victories include three wins at Oklahoma and two during his time as a defensive coordinator at Clemson. Furthermore, the Sooners delivered a blow to Alabama's post-season hopes last season, defeating the Crimson Tide 24-3.
Venables' coaching style isn't the only threat; the new and improved Oklahoma offense, led by quarterback John Mateer, poses a significant challenge. “He’s a playmaker and can turn something into nothing, so it’s just all about doing our job and staying focused,” Brown said when detailing what he's seen from Mateer.
Based on last year's outcome and the significant improvements both teams have made since their previous meeting, Saturday's matchup promises to be another memorable chapter in the book between these two teams.
