Stillman College Names New Women’s Basketball Head Coach
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Stillman College Tigers welcomed a new member of its athletics staff on Tuesday, announcing the hire of Jamarra Robinson as the Tigers' new head women's basketball coach.

Robinson becomes the 11th head coach for women's basketball in Stillman College history, stepping in to fill the role vacated by Alico Dunk, who left Stillman in June.
"We're pleased to welcome Coach Robinson to Tuscaloosa. She has a proven record of winning programs and developing talent. We know she'll help Stillman continue to compete for championships in the HBCUAC," Athletic Director Terrance Whittle said.
Robinson is a native of Fort Pierce, Florida, and joins Stillman College after spending one year as an assistant at Lafayette College, an NCAA Division I program in the Patriot League. She helped improve Lafayette's win total and has experience coaching against No. 14 Notre Dame.
Her coaching career began in 2015 at Saint Petersburg College. She was an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator at Saint Petersburg. She then spent two seasons coaching at Centennial High School, her alma mater, and landed her first collegiate head coaching job at Indian River State College in 2018, compiling a 101-71 record through six seasons. The program was cut in March 2024. During her time at IRSC, they won the 2023 Southern Conference Championship and were the runner-up in the conference in 2021, 2022, and 2024. Her teams also advanced to the Region 8 State Final Four and were named runner-up in 2022.
Robinson has 21 All-FCSAA selections, claimed the school's highest ranking in program history (No. 15), and had seven players sign to NCAA Division I rosters. In her final season with IRSC, Robinson coached the Pioneers to a program-best 26 wins, boasting a perfect 10-0 record at home.
"I'd like to thank Dr. (Yolanda) Page and Coach Whittle for the opportunity to serve as the next head coach at Stillman. I'm excited and honored to lead this program and look forward to working with our student-athletes and supporting the Stillman community," Robinson said.
Stillman College is entering the 2025-26 season following a program-best 26-6 record in 2024-25, including a 17-1 mark to win the regular season crown in its inaugural season in the HBCU Athletic Conference.
Robinson was a two-time FCSAA First-Team All-Conference honoree for Palm Beach State College as a player before continuing her career at Saint Leo University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She later completed a Master's Degree in Athletic Administration from Concordia Irvine University.
