"I didn't expect to win any awards," Finch said in a release. "I want to thank God first, but I couldn't have done this without my teammates and Coach [John] Teasley putting his trust in me. I really appreciate Coach Teasley for giving me the opportunity to play close to home."

The 6-foot-6 senior from York, Alabama was a statistical leader for Stillman during the 2024-2025 season. He led the Tigers in blocks with 1.3 blocks per game, good for seventh in the league. He led Stillman with 13.3 points per game and 9.5 rebounds, both team-leading. He also shot 61.1 percent from the floor - good for fourth in the HBCUAC.

In addition to Finch earning honors, head coach John Teasley was named the HBCUAC Coach of the Year, and assistant Montego Hoskins was named Assistant Coach of the Year.

On Saturday, during the semifinals in the tournament, a Family Reunion Community Tailgate will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Sheppard Lawn.
