Speculation swirled on Monday that the Cleveland Browns had planned to draft Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater before owner Jimmy Haslam changed the pick to Johnny Manziel.

Those reports have been strongly denied, but it's probably best for both parties anyways. Bridgewater joined the Dan Patrick Show on Tuesday to talk about the NFL Draft and his future with the Minnesota Vikings. During the conversation, the quarterback revealed something he told his agent before the draft.

"There was a chance (Cleveland would draft me), but I actually told my agent that (Cleveland) isn't the place for me," Bridgewater told Dan Patrick.

He went on to make it clear that he's excited about his future with the Vikings, who drafted him with the final pick of the first round.

"Throughout this entire process, I felt comfortable with the Minnesota Vikings from every visit that I had with the team. It's a family environment and the players are a great group of guys."

The Dan Patrick Show can be heard every weekday on Tide 99.1 in Tuscaloosa.
