Tide Women’s Hoops Set to Play in the Bahamas Next Season
The Alabama women’s basketball team will be one of eight teams playing in the 2022 Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship held in Nassau, Bahamas.
The Tide will compete against Utah on Nov. 21 and Wake Forest on Nov. 23.
Utah finished this past season with an overall record of 21-12 and 8-7 in the PAC-12. The Utes ended the season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, falling to No. 2 seed Texas. The Demon Deacons finished last season with an overall record of 16-17 and 4-14 in the ACC.
The Tide finished last season with an overall record of 20-14 and 6-10 in the SEC, ending the year with a WNIT Quarterfinals run.
The remaining five teams competing in the tournament are Dayton, Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Virginia Tech.
This is the second year that the tournament will be held. The inaugural field featured six teams that all made the NCAA Tournament last year including NC State, Stanford Maryland, Indiana, Miami, and Washington State.
