Top Pro-Style QB David Cornwell Commits to Alabama

A player many consider to be the top pro style quarterback in the country, David Cornwell, committed the Alabama Crimson Tide on Friday afternoon via his twitter account.

The 6-foot-5, 235lbs quarterback is considered a consensus four-star star quarterback by all sites except 24/7 Sports who grades Cornwell as a 5 star. He chose the Alabama Crimson Tide over SEC Powers Auburn, Arkansas and Tennessee as well as national powers Notre Dame and Oklahoma State. Rivals reports that he was recruited by Alabama Offense Coordinator Doug Nussmeier and Wide Receivers coach Billy Napier.

Although Alabama has 11 commitments for 2014 (12 including Bradley Bozeman who will grey shirt), Cornwell is just the second offensive player to commit to Alabama, joining Tuscaloosa County High running back Bo Scarbrough.
