Proctor, a junior, is in his third season with the Crimson Tide and has been the starting left tackle since 2023. Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, he was a highly touted prospect out of Southeast Polk High School. Rated a five-star recruit by nearly every major scouting service, Proctor was considered Iowa's top-ranked player. 247Sports listed him as the No. 5 player nationally and top-ranked offensive tackle, while ESPN ranked him No. 10 on the ESPN300 list, also tabbing him as the No. 2 tackle and player from the Midwest Region. After initially committing to Iowa, Proctor ultimately chose Alabama on National Signing Day in 2022.

Bernard, a senior wide receiver, is in his second season with the Crimson Tide. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, where he attended Liberty High School, Bernard was ranked as the No. 27 receiver in the nation and No. 4 recruit in Nevada by ESPN.com. 247Sports listed him as the No. 212 prospect and No. 31 receiver, also rating him as the fifth-best prospect in Nevada. He began his college career at Michigan State in 2022 before transferring to Washington to play for Kalen DeBoer. Following one season as a Husky, Bernard joined the Crimson Tide in 2024 after DeBoer was hired as the head coach at Alabama, following the retirement of Nick Saban.

Both Proctor and Bernard have played significant roles in the Crimson Tide offense since joining.
