Ronda Rousey successfully defended her title for the third time at UFC 170 on Saturday, defeating Sara McMann by TKO after only one minute and six seconds.

"The Battle of the Olympians" didn't prove to be the ground and pound battle that most expected. Both fighters came out of the shoot swinging, both landing perfectly placed punches to their opponents but it was a swift left knee from Rousey (9-0) that ended the match-up.

After the fight McMann said, "I got hit in the liver. No matter how hard you train, you can't make your liver stronger."

This is the first knockout of Rousey's mixed martial arts career, having finished all eight previous fights via armbar submission and marks the eighth time she's finished in the first round.

Rousey last defended her title against Misha Tate on December 28th before taking on McMann. The win Saturday night set a UFC record for shortest time span between title defenses and also the record for shortest match in Women's Bantamweight history.
