The Alabama Department of Public Health recently issued an emergency order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the state, and violating this order could result in criminal charges or fines.

The State of Alabama's Office of the Attorney General issued a memo this weekend that grants law enforcement officials the power to charge anyone who willingly violates the health order with a misdemeanor charge which could result in a fine of $25 to $500.

The full memo is below. The ADPH order, issued Thursday, remains in effect until April 5th.
