Week 12 Bama Pro of the Week: Jaylen Waddle

Each week during the NFL regular season, I'll award one standout Alabama player of the week whose performance boosted his team to victory. The only criteria being his team must win. At the end of the season, I'll name the MVP and hand out a few other awards to recognize the excellence the Alabama Crimson Tide has present in the NFL.

With a league-best 55 (counting Jalen Hurts) active players under contract across 28 franchises, there are plenty of options to choose from. Here's this week's winner:

Miami Dolphins rookie wide receiver Jaylen Waddle had the first of many career days in his young time in the NFL, catching nine passes for 137 yards and a touchdown against the Carolina Panthers earning the speedster his first Bama Pro of the Week.

Waddle's second-quarter touchdown gave Miami a lead the Dolphins wouldn't relinquish for the remainder of the contest.

Afterward, Waddle debuted an all-new signature celebration that caught the attention of social media.

On the next drive, Waddle caught a crossing route for a massive gain, showing off his impressive speed and setting up the Dolphins in scoring position to create a wide margin on the scoreboard.

On the season Waddle is 5th in the NFL and leads all rookies with 77 receptions for 759 yards and five touchdowns.

Next week, Waddle and the Dolphins host Xavier McKinney and the New York Giants.

Mac Jones, Patriots: 23-32 passing for 310 yards and two touchdowns.
Xavier McKinney, Giants: Eight tackles and two pass breakups, including an interception.
Patrick Surtain II, Broncos: Five tackles and two interceptions, including a 70-yard pick-six.
Ronnie Harrison, Browns: 14 tackles and an interception.
