With little surprise, Tennessee Titan Derrick Henry is once again the Bama Pro of the Week for another imposing stat line, and stiff arm, that pushed his team to victory.

Henry rushed 24 times for 147 yards and a touchdown. It's the ninth time Henry has eclipsed the century mark in 13 games this season. His dominance brought the Titans its second straight victory over a hapless Detroit Lions team, 46-25.

Henry opened the game's high-scoring affair with a tough three-yard touchdown. For the rest of the day, Henry made his presence felt at the second level and beyond, leaving defenders in the turf along the way.

Of course, the most notable instance was yet another soul-crushing stiff arm to Lions's newcomer Alex Myres. In a similar fashion to Henry's highlight-stealing assault on Bills cornerback Josh Norman, Myres ran parallel to Henry toward the sideline. Like a trained heavyweight boxer, Henry patiently waited for his opening before delivering a crushing right hand.

Henry's quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, was just as impressed as everyone not supporting the Detroit Lions Sunday afternoon.

Henry still leads the NFL in rushing yards and touchdowns with 1679 yards and 15 scores on 321 carries. Though he shares the NFL lead in touchdowns with Minnesota's Dalvin Cook, he heads into the final two weeks of the season with a 195-yard advantage over Cook. Behind them trails Derrick Henry, well his yards after contact anyway.

This week Henry was named to his second-straight Pro Bowl along with AJ Brown for the Titans and four other Alabama alumni. Henry was the highest voted running back and finished in the top three for all positions.

The Titans look primed for another playoff run behind Henry. With 2,000 yards within reach against suspect run defenses from Green Bay and Houston, Henry looks to be in a position to take home some hardware at the 2020 NFL Honors. For now, he's earned his fifth Bama Pro of the Week award.

Now for our honorable mentions:

  • Jalen Hurts, Eagles: 24-44 passing for 338 yards and three touchdowns with 63 yards rushing and a touchdown on 11 carries.
  • Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins: 20-26 passing for 145 yards and nine yards rushing and two touchdowns on three carries.
  • Calvin Ridley, Falcons: 10 catches for 163 yards and a touchdown.
