Derrick Henry knows how to close out the season. He became just the eighth player all-time to rush for over 2,000 yards and thanks to his monstrous finale, he sent his Titans to the NFL Playoffs with an AFC South title in hand.

In the 41-38 victory over the Houston Texans, Henry rushed 34 times for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Though Henry scored both of his touchdowns early when it appeared Tennessee would run away with the game, the Titans leaned heavily on Henry for much of the contest, handing him the rock more times Sunday than in any other outing in the 2020 season.

Henry's season is one for the record books. He finishes his MVP-caliber season with 2,027 yards, 5th most in an NFL single season, and 17 touchdowns. There is a multitude of ways to drool over his impressive stats: Henry's yards after contact alone would rank 3rd in the rushing ranks in 2020, his second-half rushing yards alone would have ranked 5th, if his top four rushing performances were wiped away, Henry still would have finished 2nd in rushing, and, finally, he rushed for more yardage than 22 NFL teams.

Somehow it gets better. Henry has now rushed for five 200+ yards games in his NFL career. Only three other players have accomplished this feat: Adrian Peterson, O.J. Simpson and Tiki Barber. The kicker is Henry has played in nearly half as many games as any of them.

Even more so, Henry has scored two touchdowns in each of his 200+ yards performances. No one player in NFL history has ever achieved those statistics more than three times.

Derrick Henry was absolutely ruthless in 2020. He brought home six of our Bama Pro of the Week Awards, not to mention all of the hardware he could take home after the season. Being a Heisman Trophy Winner "Built by Bama" should come as no surprise in his dominance. With his fellow Titans following his lead, "King" Henry looks to take his Tennessee team on a deep playoff run.
