With the MLB Draft being held earlier this month, Perfect Game held its National Showcase over the weekend and Alabama commit Mike Nikorat impressed onlookers with his velocity on the mound.

According to Perfect Game's scouting supervisor, Todd Gold, the right-hander out of Pennsylvania might be high on some scouts' lists for next year's draft class.

Most of the conversation surrounding Nikorat was his fastball, which topped out at 97 mph. Should that time hold up, it would be the highest recorded speed of any pitcher in the class of 2015 according to Perfect Game.

Here's some video of his performance at the showcase event.
