Alabama Earns Second OL Commitment

The Alabama Crimson Tide have earned two offensive line commitments in as many days. just 36 hours after Alabama earned a commitment from four-star offensive lineman Michael Carroll, Alabama earned another commitment along the offensive line.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, three-star offensive lineman Mal Waldrep has committed to Alabama.

According to composite, Waldrep is a three-star offensive lineman from Central High School, the defending 7A State Champions in Phenix City, Alabama.

Waldrep is the No. 498 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. He's also the No. 21 overall player in the state of Alabama and the No. 40 overall offensive tackle in the 2025 class.

After watching Waldrep's hudle tape, he does a good job of setting the edge when it is his job to crash down on the defensive end. He continues to play in the run game even when the ball carrier is beyond the line of scrimmage. He has a good first step when kicking back in pass protection. He has good size at 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds and shows the versatility to kick inside if Alabama wants him to potentially.
