All the excitement surrounding the Alabama Men's Basketball program this upcoming season is due to the talent on the roster led by freshman point guard Collin Sexton.

All eyes have been on the McDonald's All-American and he is being regarded as one of the most watched players of this college basketball season, and the critics agree.

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced Monday that Sexton, along with 19 other candidates and five other freshman, was named on the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Watch List.

Sexton is the only player in the SEC on the list and the first Alabama guard to join the Bob Cousy Watch List since Trevor Releford back in the 2013-14 season.

The watch list will be narrowed to ten player by the middle of February, in March, five finalists will be presented to Bob Cousy and the Hall of Fame's selection committee. On April 6, the winner will be presented at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show in Los Angeles.

With a player like Sexton leading the way, the Alabama Crimson Tide could make a possible tournament run this season. He will be the most exciting player to watch for the Crimson Tide in years, and if Cousy approves, that's a good sign for the Georgia native.
