Alabama Hosting Former Colorado Linebacker
The Alabama Crimson Tide is searching for a playmaker at the linebacker position, with the Crimson Tide set to host Nikhai Hill-Green according to Pete Nakos of On3 Sports.
Hill-Green, a former four-star recruit from Baltimore, Maryland, was rated as the No. 23 overall outside linebacker in the 2020 recruiting class. He originally signed with Michigan in December 2019 and enrolled in Ann Arbor in January 2020.
Green has bounced around during his college career. He originally transferred to the Charlotte 49ers in April 2023, then transferred to the UCF Golden Knights in December 2023. After spending spring practice in Orlando, Green then transferred to Colorado to play for Deion Sanders in April 2024. He is once again in the transfer portal and is set to visit Alabama.
During his one season in Boulder, Colorado, Green totaled 82 tackles, four pass breakups, two sacks, and two interceptions.
Over the course of his career, Green has tallied 206 tackles, eight pass breakups, four sacks, two interceptions, and one forced fumble.
Alabama is actively trying to find experienced talent in the transfer portal, and Green would provide much-needed depth to either inside or outside linebacker. Alabama lost two players at "Wolf" this season with Que Robinson suffering a season-ending injury and Keanu Koht transferring. Meanwhile, at inside linebacker, Alabama will likely be replacing its top three players at that position from this season, with Deontae Lawson and Jihaad Campbell facing NFL draft decisions, and Justin Jefferson exhausting his eligibility.
