Alabama Hosting Trio of Transfer Prospects This Week
Tuscaloosa, AL—The Alabama Crimson Tide is beginning to make noise in the transfer portal. Alabama is slated to host three more transfer prospects in Tuscaloosa as it prepares to begin bowl practice for the game against Michigan on December 31.
The Crimson Tide will play host to a pair of offensive linemen, and a former Utah cornerback.
According to Matt Zenitz, former Texas A&M offensive lineman Kam Dewberry and former Utah cornerback Cameron Calhoun will visit Alabama this week as the Crimson Tide continues towards bowl preparation.
Dewberry was a four-star offensive line prospect from Humble, Texas, and signed with Texas A&M in 2021. Dewberry's final five schools were Alabama, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Standing at 6-foot-4, 330 pounds, Dewberry was rated as the No. 81 overall prospect coming out of high school.
Calhoun was a four-star cornerback prospect from Cincinnati, Ohio, at Winton Woods High School (The same high school Alabama just signed four-star linebacker Justin Hill from). Standing at 6-foot and 177 pounds, Calhoun had nine pass breakups this season for the Utah Utes. He signed with Michigan out of high school in December 2022 and then transferred to Utah prior to last season.
In addition to those two, Andrew Bone of On3 Sports reported Alabama is slated to host former Washington offensive lineman Kahlee Tafai.
Tafai, standing at 6-foot-5, 330 pounds, was a three-star offensive tackle prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He originally put pen to paper and signed with Kalen DeBoer at Washington.
From Lawndale, California, Tafai picked up an offer from the Alabama Crimson Tide shortly after entering the transfer portal.
