Alabama Lands 2026 DL Commitment
Alabama's 2026 recruiting class has picked up speed, with the Crimson Tide earning its second commitment in the class of 2026.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Alabama earned an in-state commitment in 2026 in Vodney Cleveland, a four-star defensive lineman from Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama.
"LET ALL NAYSAYERS KNOW," Cleveland said in his commitment post.
Cleveland sits at 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds as a defensive lineman in the 2026 class. He is currently rated as a top-100 prospect in the 2026 class, sitting at No. 95 overall. Cleveland is ranked as the No. 7 player in the state of Alabama and the no. 7 defensive lineman in the country.
Cleveland committed to Alabama over Tennessee, Auburn, and Miami. He also held offers from Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, and LSU, among others.
He was offered by the University of Alabama on June 10 of this year. The primary recruiter for Cleveland was Alabama defensive line coach Freddie Roach.
Cleveland has taken six unofficial visits to Alabama so far, with all six coming in 2024 since Alabama hired Kalen DeBoer on January 10.
Alabama's other commitment in the class of 2026 is Carrollton, Georgia cornerback Dorian Barney, rated as a four-star in 2026.
