Alabama Lands Inside Top Five for WR Ahead of Official Visits
Alabama's coaching staff continues strong recruiting at the wide receiver position. In addition to continuously retaining the receivers on the roster, since arriving in Tuscaloosa, Alabama's coaching staff has been able to land:
Germie Bernard (Transfer)
Ryan Williams (High School)
Isaiah Horton (Transfer)
Derek Meadows (High School)
Lotzeir Brooks (High School)
All on the recruiting trail. One of the biggest drivers is the Tide's history at wide receiver, and second-year Alabama receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard. Now, the Tide and Shephard are hot on the recruiting trail for another big-name receiver from the state of California.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, Alabama is among the top five schools for four-star Mater Dei wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt.
Dixon-Wyatt, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver from Oakland, California, included Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, Oregon, and USC in his top five schools. No matter which school he chooses, Dixon-Wyatt will play for one of the two premier conferences in college football.
Ranked as the No. 12 wide receiver in the country and the No. 13 player in the 2026 recruiting class, Dixon-Wyatt also announced he will announce his commitment on May 4 - this Sunday.
The four-star prospect has yet to visit Alabama, but has an official visit set with the Crimson Tide for the weekend after his commitment.
He also has official visits scheduled to Ohio State, Texas, and Oregon.
His full set of official visits:
Alabama: May 16
Ohio State: May 30
USC: June 6
Oregon: June 20
If he commits to the Crimson Tide, he would be Alabama's first wide receiver commitment in the 2026 recruiting class.
