While many were sleeping the Alabama Crimson Tide coaching staff were going, as the late Notorious BIG put it "Back to Cali," landing one of the top junior college offensive line prospects in the country in Dominick Jackson.

At a towering 6-foot-7 and over 300lbs,Jackson hails from California’s College of San Mateo and switches his commitment to the Crimson Tide after first committing to the UCLA Bruins. He selected Alabama over other offers including Arkansas, Florida, Missouri, Ohio State ,Tennessee, Texas A&M and Southern Cal.

The 14th commitment for Alabama's 3rd offensive line prospect to commit for the 2014 class, his commitment certainly fits a need for Alabama as Cyrus Kouandjio is already projected by many to be a top draft pick in next year's NFL draft.  He joins fellow four star prospect Viane Talmaivao as the second prospect from Alabama to commit to the Crimson Tide.

Tide Sports recruiting Analyst Andrew Bone said on last Saturday's edition of Crimson Cover that Alabama's success combined with their appearance at the Rose Bowl for the 2009 National Championship has been a major factor in the Crimson Tide's new-found reach to the west coast.
