Alabama, Oklahoma State Cancel Home-and-Home Series for 2028-2029
Alabama and Oklahoma State have cancelled their home-and-home series, set to send the Crimson Tide to Stillwater, Oklahoma, in 2028, with Oklahoma State set to make the return trip to Tuscalosoa in 2029, according to On3's Brett McMurphy, and later confirmed in a release by the University of Alabama.

There was speculation that Alabama would cancel its series with Ohio State, slated to start in 2027 with the Crimson Tide heading to Columbus, Ohio, but McMpurphy reports that the Crimson Tide and the Buckeyes will play on in 2027, with Ohio State making the return trip to Alabama in 2028.
"Alabama football’s home-and-home series with Oklahoma State was officially canceled, the two universities announced Thursday," The University of Alabama said in a release on Thursday morning. "The Crimson Tide and Cowboys mutually agreed to cancel their home-and-home series, which was set to begin in Stillwater in 2028 with OSU traveling to Tuscaloosa in 2029."
Oklahoma State's release told a different story, citing the SEC's move to nine conference games as the primary reason for the cancellation between the Crimson Tide and the Cowboys.
"The series replaces a two-game set scheduled against Alabama. The Southeastern Conference's move to a nine-game league schedule was the dominant factor in the schedule change between the Cowboys and the Crimson Tide. Following SEC shuffling, both OSU and Alabama needed home games during the same season," the release said.
Oklahoma State replaced Alabama with a home-and-home with Michigan State.
