The final national polls for the 2018 softball season have been released, and Alabama is ranked No. 14 in the USA Today/NFCA and ESPN.com/USA Softball polls.

Alabama has finished in the top 25 every season since 2000, a streak of 19-straight years. The Crimson Tide ended its 2018 campaign with a 36-20 record and made its 20th-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, having done so every year under head coach Patrick Murphy. The Tide, playing in its 14th-straight regional round in Tuscaloosa, swept Middle Tennessee, Wisconsin and Oregon State to claim its 16th regional title and push its regional win streak to 37-consecutive games. With the win, Alabama earned a spot in the Super Regional round, continuing its streak as the only team in college softball to play in all 14 NCAA Super Regional rounds since its inception in 2005.
