Alabama Tennis Teams Release Full Home Schedules

The University of Alabama tennis teams have released their full home schedules for the 2023 spring season.

The men's first home match was a dual match that took place on Jan. 14 against Samford and Mercer at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. The men are off to a 2-0 start to the season with a 7-0 win over Samford and a 6-1 victory against Mercer. It was the sixth consecutive year that the team swept its season opening doubleheader.

The team's next home match will be another dual match against UAB and Chattanooga this Sunday starting at 11 a.m. CT.

Its conference schedule kicks off at the beginning of March with a match against the Georgia Bulldogs. The season's home conclusion will be an Iron Bowl clash with the Auburn Tigers on April 9.

The Alabama women's tennis team opened up its season against with a 6-1 win over the Navy Midshipmen. Loudmilla Bencheikh of France, Ola Pitak of Poland and Klara Milicevic of Sweden all won matches in doubles and singles against Navy.

The team's next home match will be this Saturday against Memphis. The match is set to start at noon.

The home conference schedule begins on March 10 against Mississippi State and the final home match of the season will be on April 16 versus South Carolina.

The two teams will aim to earn a birth into the NCAA tournament that will take place in May.
