Love, 38, is a highly respected coach in the industry and spent the 2025-26 season as the associate head coach with the Oklahoma Sooners. Prior to her time in Norman, Oklahoma, Love spent one season as an assistant head coach and the recruiting coordinator for Alabama women's basketball. She also has experience as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Arkansas from 2017 to 2024, and spent time as an assistant coach at Southern Miss and McNeese. As a coach, she has made three NCAA tournaments and produced three WNBA draft picks.

During her time as a player, she spent the 2006-07 season at Jones College before transferring to Southern Miss, where she finished her collegiate career in 2010. She also played professionally for the Connecticut Sun and Calais (France).

Love replaces former Alabama women's basketball coach Kristy Curry, who left the Crimson Tide after 12 seasons in Tuscaloosa to become the women's basketball coach with the South Florida Bulls. Love spent one season on Curry's staff in Tuscaloosa during the 2024-25 season.
