Tuscaloosa, Ala. — In the midst of one of its better seasons in recent program history, an Alabama superstar is earning recognition on a national stage.

Early Tuesday afternoon, guard Sarah Ashlee Barker earned a spot as a top-ten finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award — which annually recognizes the top shooting guard in Women's collegiate basketball.

Barker has shined for the Crimson Tide this season, averaging 16.7 points and 6.1 rebounds a game on 51.7% shooting, a career-high clip in Tuscaloosa.

Barker is one of three SEC guards to be tabbed as a finalist.

Alabama fans can support Barker by participating in Fan Voting starting Friday, Feb. 7, on hoophallawards.com.
