The New England Patriots have selected Alabama Crimson Tide defensive tackle Christian Barmore with the 38th overall pick.

Nick Saban has been around football for quite some time now. He recently shared some insight on how teams go about evaluating potential future players on Questions and Answers with Nick Saban. Saban stated that, "And & but" are the two most prolific words that you may hear these NFL coaches and scouts use. If a guy is an "and" player that means he adds more to what he displays on the field. If he is a "but" player, then teams may have concerns on a players actions outside of football.

Joe Lunardi is the expert of all experts when it comes to college basketball. He like many others, have recently made their way too early brackets for the 2022 NCAA Tournament. Alabama lands at a #1 seed, and Lunardi also had them 2nd overall in the entire field. The expectations will be high for this new squad for the Crimson Tide, following a historic season for the program lead by 2nd year head coach Nate Oats.

The Alabama running back group is lead by senior, Brian Robinson who did not participate this A-Day. However, The white team was lead by Roydell Williams who had 12 carries for 43 yards and 4 catches for 65 yards. Crimson team saw Jase McClellan shine out the backfield as well with 12 carries 46 yards and 7 catches for 62 yards.

Former Alabama basketball star Donta Hall, took on a new challenge Wednesday night as he made his debut for the Orlando Magic. Hall signed a 10 day contract on April 13th. This is now his third appearance on an NBA roster after first playing for the Brooklyn Nets and the Toronto Raptors. Hall finished his debut with 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal.

Former 5-star guard in the 2020 recruiting class has transferred to Alabama from Texas Tech. Nate Oats hauls in another 5-star McDonald's All-American, making it a three headed monster in the back-court. Burnett joins the other All-Americans on the Crimson Tide with, Jahvon Quinerly and 2021 recruit J.D. Davison. This is now the second addition to the 2021 roster this week for Oats.

Nick Saban joined The Dan Patrick Show, and the topic of the 49ers drafting Mac Jones of course came up. The buzz around the NFL recently was that Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch wanted Alabama quarterback Mac Jones after trading up the the 3rd pick in the draft. However, Saban states that he did not get asked about Jones by the 49ers at Alabama's pro day.

Nick Saban had an interesting comparison when talking about offensive coaches around the country. "You guys are all apart of the Taliban man" when speaking towards the offensive coaches. Claiming the evolution of offense in football keeps him from sitting still. The analogy brought in some laughs from the rest of the zoom attendees, as they know how much coach Saban cherishes his defense.

Nate Oats and Alabama seem to be the favorites to land former 5 star Nimari Burnett. Burnett has entered the transfer portal after one season with Texas Tech. The 6'4 guard would add to a dynamic back-court to pair up with Jd Davison who is also a 5 star in the 2021 class.

Former Alabama running back Kenyan Drake signed a two year deal that is worth up to $14.5 million with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders now add their second Alabama running back to the team. Drake joins Josh Jacobs to make one of the leagues best running back duos.
