The big game has commenced and the winners were clear. The Eagles took this game from the first kick and never looked back. With that defense and Hurts playing lights out, it was a tough night for the Chiefs. Let's break down how the Bama players did to help the Eagles win a Super Bowl.

Jalen Hurts:

Hurts played one of his best games on the biggest stage, what's new? Hurts completed 77% of his passes going 17/22 with two touchdowns. While he threw a pic early, it did not really matter as that defense stuffed the Chiefs all night. Going into the game many thought this win would have to be on the back of Barkley, but in fact it came on the back of Hurts. He saw the field well all night tossing the rock down field many times to many different pass catchers. It was an impressive showing from the Eagles yes, but an even more impressive showing from Hurts as he did everything they said he was incapable of. Way to silence the doubters and congrats Jalen Hurts!

DeVonta Smith:

What a game from Smitty as he became the first player in Alabama history to score in a Super Bowl. His score came late on a deep ball from Hurts right into the end-zone which put the final nail in the coffin of the Chief's three peat hopes. He caught four total passes for a total of 69 yards. Smith also became the first player in the CFP era to win a Heisman, CFP National Championship, and a Super Bowl. What a season for both these players.

That does it for the Bama in the NFL series 2024 edition. September can't come fast enough. Roll Tide!
